The guitar began in Porto, at the Academia de Música de Costa Cabral. It led through ESMAE to the Haute École de Musique in Switzerland, and to two master’s degrees with George Vassilev.

Biography
Miguel Ferreira is a Portuguese classical guitarist based in Switzerland. He trained in Porto with André Pires Costa and Artur Caldeira, and completed a Master Concert and a Master in Pedagogy at the Haute École de Musique with George Vassilev. He performs as a soloist and in chamber music, with the guitar duo Duo Raiya and with flautist Leonor Moreira, in Portugal, Switzerland and France. In 2026 he received First Prize at the Concurso Nacional de Música de Câmara de Vila Verde and Second Prize for solo guitar at the Prémio Manuel Ivo Cruz.
